1. Overview

MindLock.io ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our service.

2. Data Storage

Free Users: All your data (conversations, memory documents, and settings) is stored locally on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB). We do not have access to this data, and it never leaves your device.

Pro Users: If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you can access your data through your authenticated account.

3. AI Processing

Local AI (Free): When using local AI distillation, all processing happens on your device using WebLLM. No data is sent to external servers.

Cloud AI (Pro): If you choose cloud AI distillation, your conversation content is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not store or log the content sent to Gemini.

4. Authentication

If you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information from your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub). This is used solely for authentication and account management.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your local data at any time by clearing your browser storage. Pro users can delete their cloud data from the Settings page or by contacting us. Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.
