Is MindLock really private?
Yes. In Local Mode, every conversation, memory document, and AI distillation runs on your device — nothing leaves your computer. Cloud Mode is opt-in, encrypted at rest and in transit, and we never train AI on your data.

How much does MindLock cost?
Local Mode is free forever with no sign-up required. Cloud Mode is $5/month and adds cross-device sync, 100 Gemini-powered distillations per month, and priority support.
Do I need a GPU to run MindLock locally?
A modern laptop with integrated graphics works, but a dedicated GPU makes local distillation much faster. MindLock uses WebLLM, which runs entirely in the browser using WebGPU.
Can I export my data if I stop using MindLock?
Yes. You own your data. One-click export gives you all conversations, memory documents, and contexts in open formats, whether you are on Local Mode or Cloud Mode.
What is a memory document?
A memory document is an AI-distilled summary of a conversation (or a group of conversations). It captures key facts, decisions, and context so you can inject it back into any new AI chat without re-explaining yourself.
Does MindLock work with incognito mode?
Yes — that is the recommended workflow. Chat in incognito, export the conversation to MindLock, and rely on MindLock to carry context forward instead of the AI provider's built-in memory.
